If you are having laser hair removal on your arms, especially with a "rapid fire" type device such as a Soprano diode laser with SHR mode (which makes the laser flash 10 times a second while the button is held down, rather than flashing once each time it is pressed), don't wear dark trousers.
This is because, unless they can turn the chair round, the operator is pretty much going to have to require you to hold one arm above your lap while it gets zapped, and it's quite possible that the laser head will, as it's scanned across the curved surface of an arm, come away briefly and fire into space.
If the laser then hits the aforementioned dark trousers, the feeling that they're about to catch fire is very disconcerting.
